Just a short 5 to 10 minutes drive from Oasis Parque you can delight in the long sweeping beaches of Alvor and Praia da Rocha or the sandy alcoves of Vau. Within minutes of Boavista Golf Resort you have the beautiful beaches and clear blue ocean at Luz, Praia Dona Ana or Meia Praia.

GOLF
With so many sunshine hours per year where better to enjoy a game of golf, with a great choice of first class and championship courses including Boavista, just 20 minutes drive from Oasis Parque, or the challenging championship course at Penina, a short 10 minutes drive from Oasis Parque or 20 minutes from Boavista. Or you can choose from the Alto Club, Palmares, Parque da Floresta, or Carcoeiro for a change of scene.

FLYING
Portimao Airfield is only a few minutes away and offers you the chance to see the local area from the air. You can either try your hand at aerobatics in a charming DeHavilland Chipmunk or if you are feeling really adventurous why not try parachuting! If all this sounds too exciting then you could always opt for a more leisurely aerial sight-seeing tour of the local area.

THINGS TO DO

ˇ For family fun visit an Aqua park, the Zoo Marine and swim with dolphins; the zoo at Lagos; or book an exciting day safari in the mountains.

ˇ Choose one of the many water sports available, scuba diving; snorkeling; windsurfing; or jet skiing.

ˇ Why not try your luck at fishing, sea fishing excursions and private boat charters can be arranged locally.

ˇ Escape to nature and find yourself in the spectacular Monchique mountain range; or the panoramic vista at Cape St Vincent the most westerly point of mainland Europe; or a cliff top walk and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.

ˇ Visit the old town of Silves with its 12th century castle; Lagos with its maze of cobbled streets and 16th century wall; admire the view underneath the old bridge at Portimao while treating yourself to some freshly caught sardines. Or just relax in the cafés and bars in the local villages.

There is something for everyone here in this charming part of Portugal.
